Although our new home is a bungalow it actually has an upstairs, but the upstairs is in the roof line so means lots of interesting angles in every room.
We begin at the parsons bench and move to the left and head up the stairs.
All the floors up here have new hardwood floors which means the original floors have been covered up.
This will be the guest room and we are planning to put the sink back into this cupboard top there is not at closet in this room so we will need to work something out.
Now we check out the second bedroom, there are two windows one is a dormer; this room has the cupboard that you can see and also:
A built in dresser, plus a large closet; we may knock through to the one in the master bedroom to give this room a walk in closet.
Across the hall is the master bedroom, what would a master bedroom be without a fire place.
See what I mean about the interesting angles.
To the right of the fireplace there is this door opening, and yes you do see another door on the right.
Remember this is all part of the master suite; let's check the first of these rooms...
This room was probably known as the sewing room (it has two storage cupboards) we are thinking of making this room into a walk-in closet come dressing room for me.
The other storage cupboard.
These two cupboard doors will have to be kept closed, there is access to part of the ceiling/roof line which I'm sure at least one of our babies, if not both, would love to explore.
Let's check the other master suite room.
Not a very big room so maybe the boudoir. Our plan is to see if we can expand the bathroom into this room so giving the master bedroom access to the bathroom without going out into the hallway.
The bathroom is not much bigger than a closet so please don't be shocked.
That's it... the bathroom... toilet one side of the room and sink on the other side with the bath against the wall. The bathroom does not have a door just a curtain across the opening.
This would have been the only bathroom in the house when it was built... how times have changed!
I'm sorry I forgot to show you the stairs!
It is wide with steps that my whole foot fits on. I love the two windows on the landing and the way the stairs curve around.
This is the view from those landing windows. The plan is to close the top of the dog run so Wynie and Katie can possibly go outside in the summer.
I know I missed many pictures that would have given, maybe, better views of those rooms, but I wanted you to see the angles of the ceiling in each room.
There will be more pictures as we start making our move to our new home.
I know... what about the basement?
Here is your teaser for next time...the next stairs that we will travel down... later!
